Executive Chefs, Evan Strong (22) along with his sister Arianna Strong (18) and girl friend Mariah Fulcher (18), opened THE FIX in the summer of 2009, with a vision of creating Nevada City's raw food vegetarian dining experience. Evan learned to prepare living raw food cuisine from teachers such as Gabriel Cousins, David Wolfe and Daniel Vitalis. In addition to this through years living on organic farms in Hawaii have allowed him to experience the difference and healing properties of live organic food. Evan's personal experience of the healing qualities of live organic food occurred during the past five years in his recovery from a devastating accident in which was hit by a car head on while riding a motorcycle. This resulted in severe damage to his leg and arm. He attributes his nearly unbelievable recovery to the combination of a live food diet and athletic drive. His athletic accomplishments since his injury in sports such as mountain biking, cycling, snowboarding and skateboarding have shown him what this diet and lifestyle can do. Evan, Arianna and Mariah are here at THE FIX to share their story and passion with you.
As young entrepreneurs, Evan and Arianna follow in the path of their older sister, Stephanie (26) who is the owner along with their mother Lisa of 33 Degree an eclectic boutique which shares half of the building with them. Stephanie has owned and run her own boutiques since the age of 17 in Maui, Hawaii and in Capitola, CA. 33 Degree will expand your experience at THE FIX to see some exciting new style and unique fashions.
